Welcome
We’re the husband-wife team behind Good Trip, Andrew and Angela. After a life-changing year on the road, we landed in Colorado and started Good Trip to offer products that better serve the body, the planet, and the people who produce coffee.
Coffee is a vehicle for transformation; it’s a way of travel. And with travel comes a shift in perspective. A new mood. A moment for connection.
We invite you to treat your coffee like you treat your travel: adventurous, authentic and enjoyed without rush.
The Making of Good Trip Coffee
"A good trip has the ability to expand the mind, revive the soul, and provide a kind of mental clarity that can’t be achieved when remaining stationary." -DailyCoffeeNews

The Trip of a Lifetime
During the summer of 2015, we set out to travel on a shoestring and write a new chapter.
Over the course of nine months, we travelled through Africa, Europe, and made our way to the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. We started buying green coffee from local markets and roasting it on the stove. It was a dream come true.
Into Nicaraguan Coffee Country
After months tinkering with our roasts and homemade brews, we spent time in Nicaragua’s coffee-producing regions of Esteli, Jinotega, Matagalpa, and Nueva Segovia, meeting with producers, cooperatives, buyers, and exporters, learning about the industry from the source. It was an eye-opening experience, and we were hooked.
Equipped with new perspectives and sourcing relationships, we returned to the US and got busy.

Creating Our Cold Brew Recipes
Inspired to recreate the fresh cold brew we made in Nicaragua, we saw that the cold brew market in the US was getting crowded with bottles and cans full of sugar, requiring refrigerated supply chains to ship around a product that's mostly water. We knew there was a better way.
Our solution? Make it easy for people to cold brew at home without equipment-- or the need for sugar. After dozens of prototypes and recipe iterations, we tested our Cold Brew Coffee Packs with friends and coffee-lovers across the country. The results were clear: we were onto something good.
Good Trip Coffee Sets Forth
In December, 2016, we debuted our first product line of cold brews to friends and family, featuring original artwork by Denver artists Josh Holland and Shannon Bonatakis. In 2017, we hit the Denver-Boulder maker's market scene. In 2018, our cold brews became available in Anthropologie locations across the country. And today, the journey continues with a focus on serving our growing community online.
We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to share our products and values with the world, and to partner with communities of smallholders– they inspired us to start this company in the first place.
Thank you for joining us on this wild ride!
Buen viaje,
Angela & Andrew
